Question #100924

Discuss observational changes and homeostatic control of blood gas concentrations and PH during rest and exercise.

Expert's answer

In response to exercise, the blood gas (CO2) concentration is reduced because of increased breathing which result in increased blood pH. During rest, the blood gas concentration increases due to less breathing hence reduced blood pH.
