Let's assume that the following alleles of gene A are responsible for different fur colors of cats:

A – black fur;

a – non-black fur.


There is complete dominance and also there is no sex linkage of this gene.

Suppose the female and male cats with black fur have the genotype Aa. Then the cross would look like this:


P1: Aa (♀, black fur) + Aa (♂, black fur)

↓ 

F1: AA (black fur) + Aa (black fur) + Aa (black fur) + aa (non-black fur)
