Color vision deficiency results because of a recessive X-linked trait. More males are affected than females by this condition when both parents carry the color-deficient gene.

The genotype of the father having colors vision deficiency would be XCY

The mother would likely be having normal vision. The genotype would be XX

The color-deficient father would have a carrier daughter with normal vision.

The genotype of the daughter would be XXC.
