1. There are 4 basic types of tissue: connective tissue, epithelial tissue, muscle tissue, and nervous tissue. Connective tissue are designed supports the rest of the tissues and binds them together. Epithelial tissue provides a covering of other tissues.

Muscle tissue applies forces to different parts of the body.

Nervous tissue is the organ system that controls the body's movements, sends and carries signals to and from the different parts of the body, and has a role in controlling bodily functions such as digestion.
