Cell Membrane is a thin membrane that surrounds every living cell.Cell membrane acts as a barrier keeping the constituents of the cell in and the unwanted ones outside the cell .Also the cell membrane allows the transport of nutrients into the cell and waste products out.

Cell Membrane are composed primarily of fatty acids and based lipids and proteins.

Membrane lipids are of two types namely phospholipid and sterols they dissolve readily in organic solvents while Membrane proteins are of two types extrinsic protein and calcium bridges to electrically charge phosphoryl surface.
