Yes . Stem cells can develop into gametes.Two kinds of stem cells can be use as starting material for the generation of artificial gametes. They include;
(i)adult stem cells from both male and female gonads
(ii)pluripotent stem cells such as embryonic stem cell, obtained by in vitro derivation of the embryonic inner cell mass.
