People tend to believe in action more than words, verbal communication is based on the use of organized language and given that non-verbal communication is opposite to this, it has been proven to be even more effective in passing information. Nonverbal communication is divided into four main categories, as follows.
1. Symbolic. The category makes use of symbols such as religious or ego-building symbols.
2. Aesthetic. The category makes use of creative expressions such as paintings, dancing, and music to pass information.
3. Signs. The category makes use of signals, which is a mechanical method of communication; it includes the use of sirens, flags, and gun salutes.
4. Physical. The category is more of a personal model of communication that includes; tonal variation, body gesture, and facial expression.
