2. Adenine and guanine are the purines in DNA, just as they are in RNA. Cytosine and thymine are pyrimidines in DNA; cytosine and uracil are pyrimidines in RNA. Purines are bigger than pyrimidines because purines have two rings, whereas pyrimidines only have one.
