If [F] represents concentration of free binding site and [B] the concentration of bound sites in steady state, then the assassociation constant for this equilibrium is given by: K=[B]/[F][S]K=[B]/[F][S]

The total number of sites is: n[P]=[F]+[B]n[P]=[F]+[B]. The equation therefore becomes,

r=[B]/[P]=4K[S]/(1+K[S])r=[B]/[P]= 4K[S]/(1+ K[S])
