Are there any locations in the United States where a magnetic compass will point to the geographic north pole?
We should try to determine if there is a point in USA where the direction to the geographic north pole coincides with the direction to the magnetic pole, because the compass points toward the magnetic pole.
Here is the picture from en.wikipedia.org. We may see that the North magnetic pole lies on the meridian directed to the east of Russia. As of 2019, the pole is projected to have moved beyond the Canadian Arctic to 86°26′52.8″N 175°20′45.06″E. As of 2021, the pole is at 86°24′N 156°48' E. Therefore, the corresponding meridian does not intersect the area of the United States of America.
