Statement: I personally believe that the most important tax to be paid is the medicare subsidies tax. This is because this tax allows for underprivileged individuals to receive health coverage and ensure that parents, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities are provided equal health opportunities to others. Therefore, people are able to take care of themselves and have coverage for any medical issues that arise. This increases the healthy population which is good for the country.

Statement: I believed the most important topic for are federal tax dollars to go to in are medicare subsides tax. I think this is the most important because everyone deserved to be able to have affordable medicare. This tax allows the less fortunate to have more affordable and more helpful medicare. For example elders, children, parents who don't have a very big income, may have a big medical issue occur. This tax would help cover this for them.

Statement: In my opinion I think that we should spend most of our taxes on Medicare and other expenses dealing with medical assistance. I believe this because people who do not make a lot of money should not have to worry about going to the doctor just because they cannot afford it. Also it can help pay for unfortunate accidents or sicknesses that cannot be prevented. Such as cancer, this is a disease that already takes a toll on your health, you should not have to worry about paying thousands of dollars on medication to help cure the sickness. Another reason is if you break a bone you have to play thousands to get it fixed. If people did not have medical assistance they would not be able to afford to get that bone fixed.

Statement: I believe that our most important tax that we pay goes towards safety net programs in this country. I personally benefit or have benefitted in the past from such safety net programs, being a low income individual for most of my life. Without these programs, I would not have been able to enjoy 3 meals a day or even the roof over my head, both as a child and now as a young adult. So when I am working a steady job with good income, I feel good about contributing some of that towards somebody that is in a similar situation to mine, and helping them live a better and more worthwhile life.
