If compass is placed at east direction of a magnetic field then direction of compass needle will point to west direction if you place your compass needle at Geographic east pole then needle will point in geographical west pole of earth and by right hand thumb rule we can also find the direction of current from north to south by right hand thumb rule we can find out easily .
