Answer on Question #58403 – Biology – Molecular biology
When three monomers (glucose) construct a tri saccharide, covalent bonds between glucose molecules are formed. These bonds are known as glycosidic linkages (or bonds), which join a carbohydrate molecule to another carbohydrate group. Such types of bonds are formed between hemiacetal (hemiketal) group of one molecule and hydroxyl group of another compound.
